The Wigwam can Now Open Earlier in the Morning
We are delighted to say that we have permission from Reading Borough Council and Ofsted to open earlier in the morning, as we know the 9 to 5 job seems to be a thing of the past. This extra session is called a Dawn Chorus and you can either book it ongoing or ad hoc, which ever best suits your needs.

The Wigwam goes for Investors in People
Further to our success in gaining Investors in People status at The Teepee we are proud to announce that we will be applying for our accreditation in the New Year. We went for IIP as we all wanted recognition for the way we work together as a successful team. We really appreciate our team and value their contribution which makes the nursery the success it is today.
- Investors in People recognise organisations who:
- Have a good working environment
- Recognise and develop their team
- Pride in being part of a successful organisation
- Deliver good quality training when required
- Have improved job satisfaction
- Communicate better as a team
- Have skill and career development opportunities
- Have increased responsibility and involvement
The Wigwam Applies for New Reading Quality Award
We have also chosen the new year to apply for the new Quality Award developed by Reading Borough Council, to both recognise the work that we currently undertake and also as part of our continues commitment to reflect and improve the service we offer to the busy families we serve.
The Wigwam Creates its First Community Display
In our quest for excellence we have partnered with our local Post Office and have put up a display of the children's work. This will be an ongoing project, which we will refresh. It is an important part of the Reggio Emilia approach which we follow, with the children undertaking long term projects and the nursery making a positive contribution to the community in which we are based.
