Hi I’m Jane, I’m the Chef at the nursery and I have been jumping up and down today, because I found out that I have been awarded a merit in my Level 3 Food Hygiene – that means that I got over 85%! It’s great to keep up to date with training, it makes sure that you are current and at the front of industry thinking and standards and it also makes you think boarder than just nurseries as I met people from other catering organisations.
I’ve been involved in the recruitment of the new Chef at The Teepee and it’s got me thinking on the menu that we run, I love it’s varied nature but you never keep still and I know that you can always do better. I’m sure that once
she is on board that we will review what we do and the thing that’s got me really interested at the moment is baby lead weaning and whether we should take the principles of this on board with our menu.
Here’s some stuff on baby lead weaning; what do you think – is this something that you’re interested in?
