The squirrels showed a keen desire and enjoyment in messy play and creative play so we took this on board and decided to do body painting! We covered the floor in paper and squirted paint all over; we laid out varieties of different painting tools, e.g. brushes, sponges and rollers. The children stripped down to their nappies and were only to keen to get stuck in. They painted the floor, themselves, each other and the staff! We spoke about odours and our body parts as we painted. This is an activity we will be doing in the future of and extending in the future.
