Painting

by Julie Baggs 26. February 2010 15:20

This week the children have been really interested in painting.  To extend their learning in this area we have done a number of different activities such as …

Water painting

The children made the paper very wet and then used their fingers to sprinkle powder paint on to it.

Ball painting

The children used plastic balls covered in paint and rolled them around to create different marks.

String painting

The children cut and used wood to dip in paint and create patterns.

All of these activities help develop their fine motor skills and movement control as well as mark making.
