Getting ready for the Toddle Woddle

by Jodie Silvey 15. April 2010 15:46

Throughout the week we have continued to enjoy our circle group time.  During this time we include various activities, such as our phonic sounds, numbers and rhymes.  This helps the children’s concentration skills which in return aids your childs overall development.

As of next week we are starting show and tell to help with our phonic sounds, we will start with Aa and Bb letters and cover two letters a week until we have worked through our alphabet.  It would be great if the children could bring items each week beginning with the two letters we are covering, we would all appreciate it.  As I feel this will help stimulate and encourage conversation during our circle times.

During this week we have been doing several things,  we have made our own play dough, which was great fun and even better to play with.  Along with colouring in our Monty Duck hats to wear on our Toddle Woddle.  All this aids our Knowledge and Understanding of the World as well as our fine and gross motor development.
