Our Extra Activities
Have you been enjoying the many baby groups and activities in Reading before your little one starts at nursery ? You’ll be delighted to know that on top of the wonderful activities we plan everyday, we also work with some amazing extra curricular activity providers!
Once a week the children enjoy a fun packed visit from our amazing French singing teacher. Families who have already enjoyed baby groups in Reading may be familiar with BilinguaSing.
It’s a great opportunity for the children, including babies, to experience another language and has become a favourite part of the week for many of the children. As well as being great fun, BilinguaSing cite many benefits to learning a second language – you can read more here!
As well as being a wonderful opportunity to develop language skills, there are plenty of sensory experiences and activities. Props, including the magical light up umbrella bring great enjoyment and fun.
If you have been exploring baby groups in Reading, you may have come across the inspiring Al Dance. We have a fantastic dance teacher who has been working with us at the Wigwam for over three years. The children get lots of fun and enjoyment out of the dance classes while we also know it supports their learning and development in many ways:
- physical development
- coordination
- personal expression
- confidence
- skipping (quite a skill for young children to master!).
