What a Busy Week!

It’s been another fun packed week here at the Wigwam! We continued our World Book Day celebrations by dressing up as our favourite characters and taking a trip into Reading to Waterstones Reading Broad St to exchange our book tokens for some great new books! Thank you to everyone at Waterstones Reading Broad St for making us feel so welcome!

Our Scampering Squirrels has been learning about and showing lots of interest in transport. They have been very creative and have created their own transport board. They have drawn pictures of cars, created a collage picture with buses and created trains out of lots of materials. At the Wigwam we like explore Reading and take as many trips as we can so we spent a morning out on a bus trip and then visiting Reading train station! The children had so much fun and were very excited as they saw the trains approaching the platform.

We ended a fantastic week with our Red Nose Day celebrations. A great opportunity to explore colour, and of course the different shades of red, while making some silly and very funny red faces! We hope you got to enjoy a delicious cake baked by our very own Scampering Squirrels and Tiny Turtles. Thank you to everyone who donated to this wonderful cause.

That’s it for this week! We look forward to seeing you again next week for another fun-filled week at The Wigwam Day Nursery, Reading.
